He stood there in the rain, watching her silhouette fade into the night. He was cold and freezing, but none of it mattered now. He felt his world crumble; his heart torn from his chest. I'll make you change your mind, babe. He thought, finally turning his coat collar up. Not tonight, but one day.

I'm so sorry, babe. She thought, the freezing rain masking the tracks of her tears. She hated to do that to him, but it was for his sake. She loved him with all her heart, and it killed her to leave him. One day, we'll sort this out. One day, I'll be able to tell you the truth. She increased her pace and ran into the dark night.
